This beautiful butterfly was created by rolling a sheet of metal, piercing out all the individual shapes that form the butterfly and soldering that on to a backing plate. Everything was then sanded and polished to a mirror finish, while the interior was depletion gilded (a technique that brings fine silver to the surface and creates that beautiful satin white finish).
The bail, which is also the antennae of the butterfly, accommodates a chain up to 3mm thick.
The chain is not included, one can be bought separately.
